Application of Acoustic and Sound-based Detection Technologies to Support Nursing-service Poviders
In the “Aaladin“ project, an emergency call system is being developed which, with the help of sound-based event detection, can recognize critical situations and automatically activate a distress call. The acoustic recognition technology is additionally to be linked to existing documentation and invoicing software, using voice input to reduce the effort necessary for nursing documentation and thus relieve the burden on personnel. In order to ensure the acceptance of the new emergency call and documentation system, professional nursing staff, patients, and relatives are being included in the development process. The aim of the project is to develop a cost-effective technology that can be easily integrated into existing home emergency call systems.
